Importantly, agency is the sphere in which one is given the right and capacity to act. Acting appropriately within that sphere is what we call "exercising our agency." Like exercising a muscle, proper exercise of our agency will cause our agency to grow and be strengthened. Acting outside the sphere in which God has placed us will cause the sphere--our agency--to diminish, even to its vanishing point if we persist in wrong behavior long enough.
